Annaleigh Amanda Ashford was born in the US. Ashford is an actress, singer and dancer. Her initial roles on Broadway include the Musicals Wicked Legally Blonde and Hair. Ashford's Broadway return will take place in March 2023 when he stars opposite Josh Groban for the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. The team behind Hamilton producers Jeffrey Seller and director Thomas Kail is at the leading the show. Ashford's last performance was Paula Jones on Ryan Murphy FX's American Crime Story Impeachment. The series is based on a nationwide scandal that involved Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky, and Linda Tripp. Ashford starred for two seasons in CBS successful comedy B Positive. The show was developed by Marco Pennette Chuck Lorre with the legendary Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo Ben Vereen. Ashford, who is not familiar with Broadway has won two Tony Drama Desk Awards as in addition to Outer Critics Circle Awards in her role as Essie. Sunday in the Park with George Wicked legally blonde and the originating part of Lauren In Kinky Boots were among her other Broadway credits. Ashford has been born in Denver, now spends time in Los Angeles and New York.
