Maribel was born within Virginia and was raised by her parents along with siblings although details about them are scarce. As a teenager, she was determined to pursue a career within the legal field in the hopes of becoming a lawyer. When she graduated from high school and attending the University of Virginia, where she graduated with an emphasis in German as well as foreign Policy. Thomas Jefferson, an author of the Declaration of Independence, founded the school in 1819. The university has expanded to offer more than a hundred different programs around the location of Jefferson's Academical Village which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The university sits on around 1,600 acres at its central campus, as well as thousands more for its research park and its farm. Maribel completed her Juris Doctor at New York Law School following the conclusion of the bachelor's program.
